Flagstaff Fall Color October 2016

The Inner Basin hike begins at Lockett Meadow. A 3 mile section of the dirt road that takes you there is challenging! A high clearance vehicle is a plus. The starting elevation is 8600. The hike is in and out and took us to an elevation of 9700. At 9700 feet most of the leaves had either dropped or were well past peak. Mid to late September would be the time to go to see color at that elevation.

The photos of the Bald Eagle and Tarantula were taken during a hike at Campbell Mesa which is located in the Country Club (east) side of Flagstaff.
