Saguaro Lake is a reservoir on the Salt River located within the Tonto National Forest. It features a marina, restaurant and fishing (rainbow trout, bass, crappie and tilapia). It measures 165′ at its deepest point. There are a variety of boat cruises available on the Desert Belle. It took us about 50 minutes to drive to the lake where we first had lunch on the patio. Then we boarded the Desert Belle for a 90 minute narrated tour (not overly narrated thankfully). Saguaro Lake looks more like a lake than a reservoir such as Lake Pleasant. During our cruise we spotted a bald eagle, bighorn sheep and heron. It was a wonderful experience and I highly recommend it!
